Week 14 is in the history books, and we move to Week #15 also known as our Wildcard round.
Congrats to the following winning teams: Dennis, Sam, Steve, Dwight and Kyle. As mentioned in my past email. Dennis has won the South, Brent won the North division title. Dennis won the best regular season and $25.00.
Dwight finished the season with the 7th most points allowed all-time, over a 14-game season with 1,632 points. He was 7-7 and made the playoffs, that means he also scored a lot of points. In fact, he was our highest scoring team on the year with 1,530. He won the weekly scoring award three times, including last week with 135 points.
Four teams missed the playoffs, including last season’s championship teams: Andy and Patrick, joining them are Charles and Laurie. There are some high draft choices and quality players who are not playing in this season’s playoff games:
QBs: Hurts, Prescott, Jackson, Stroud and Mahomes
RBs: Eckler, Mixon, Montgomery, R. White, Taylor, Barkley, Jones, & Cook
WRs: St. Brown, Allen, Olave, Metcalf, Watson, Waddle, Hopkins, & DJ Moore
TEs: LaPorta, Kelce, Kincaid & Andrews

Our Past Glory Days:
Over the course of the last 10+ weeks we have looked back at our past best games, teams and championships. Hope you liked going back to past seasons. As we start the 2023 wildcard round, I thought it would be nice to list our past draft locations.
When I started around 1995, we were an 8-team league. We expanded to 10-teams when we added Larry and Phil. In past seasons’ we drafted at a local bar near Krones, now known as the Bowery. We then moved to Bushys for a couple seasons but with construction on Janesville Road and Bushy’s expansion. We moved to a bar on Good Hope Road, as quite a few league owners lived in the northern part of Milwaukee. We returned back to Bushy’s for many more seasons afterwards. Before our drafts were moved online, were used a long and tiring process of drafting on paper. As everyone knows, Bob was a slow drafter. When it was his turn to pick, it usually involved asking league owners for help, reading through cheat sheets and waiting for 10 minutes before a selection. Before online cheat sheets, most league owners typically arrived with their copy of Fantasy Football Index magazine. Don’t ask Patrick about the Tatum Bell, fiasco, when he used that magazine with Bell on the cover. At one point we did move to Buffalo Wild Wings for one draft but returned back to Bushys until 2018 when we switched to an entirely online draft. We moved to Patrick’s house for those who still wanted to draft in-person. Bob decided not to join us at the draft but wasn’t able to turn off the auto-draft feature. He quit the league, mid-draft. Brent replaced Bob after his sudden exit., lucky for Brent, Bob didn’t want his entrance fee back, so Brent did a get a free year in the league. In addition to online drafts a couple times we used email to get through a couple rounds. I also used Skype to chat with Charles, as he was out of State, so he could remain in the league.
I am sure we all have great draft picks that turned out to be an absolute steal. On the other end we could probably name many draft busts that never lived up to the hype. Two right off my list were Carl Pickens and Jake Plummer. High draft picks that were just horrible that season.
As we turn to the playoffs and Championship game, I hope you enjoyed looking back at our past. Maybe in 2024 I can find some other hidden gems to write about.
Good luck to the four wild-card teams,
