Just Get Out of the Way
Results: Attack 118 VS Mudders 61 Jahmyr Gibbs leaves Mad Mudders in the rear view mirror 'The thrill is gone'–at least when it comes to Sack Attack's recent games. The previous three games were blowouts, and this week's action was no different. Sack Attack crushed Mad Mudders, winning 118 to 61 in the only blowout this week. Sack Attack's 118 points didn't just give them a win, but moved them into the top spot for points in the season as well. The win brings Sack Attack to 4 – 3, and sends them to the top of our internal power rankings. The loss drops Mad Mudders back below .500 at 3 – 4. Sack Attack won with a balanced effort, as six players outperformed their positional averages. Jahmyr Gibbs was just a bit ahead of the others, racking up 20 points. That's the most points that he's scored so far this year. The Lions lost despite Gibbs delivering a breakout performance: he finished the game with 126 total yards and scored Detroit's only points. Mad Mudders, meanwhile, were having a terrible time moving the ball down the field, with the whole team gaining only 243 yards. Mad Mudders were practicing their manners as they put every other team ahead of themselves in the RuReYd category this week. Coach Steve Pintar did his part to secure the victory. He left Deshaun Watson and Gabe Davis on the bench in favor of Matthew Stafford and Puka Nacua, who were both expected to score less. These decisions gave Sack Attack a nice 34 point bonus, which just made the final result that much more embarrassing. After his decisions this week, Coach Pintar's lineup moves are now a net-plus for the year. Predictions: Mudders by 1 The bye week removes Tony Pollard and McPherson from the Attack while the Mudders lose Derrick Henry. QBs: Fields??? VS Allen, Josh plays the Patriots while the Attack decide who starts at the QB, based on injuries. RBs: Mostert & Jacobs VS Walker & Gibbs?? just like the QB position the Attack need to figure out who starts at the second RB spot. WRs: Hill & Kupp VS Aiyuk & Ridley, if the Attack want to pull offf this win, they need to outscore the Mudders at this positon. |
