Week # 9 Results: |
Scott Knepel -VS- Brent Knudson |
Results: Nothing 100 VS Leakers 63 43 points from James Conner helps give Here Goes Nothing the win After losing four straight games, Coach Scott Knepel's squad figured: 'Why not another?' The Leakers got beat down by Here Goes Nothing, losing 106 to 63. Blowouts are typical for these teams these days, as they've both been in blowout games for the last three weeks. The loss leaves The Leakers now with the worst record in the league at 2 – 7. Here Goes Nothing improve to 6 – 3 after winning four out of their last five games. It's not that hard to win when you have the league's top performer for the week, and James Conner was that player. Conner was a one-man wrecking crew, notching 43 points. He topped all but one running back so far this season with that performance. His third TD of the day was this 45-yard screen pass where he deftly burst through defense. Meanwhile, Khalil Herbert was clearly the weakest link for Coach Knepel and the gang as he posted 1 point.1 Herbert is in the midst of a troubling sequence, having seen his point total fall every week for the last three weeks. Both teams have a tough upcoming schedule. Losing to a good team better not become a pattern for The Leakers, as its next two games are also against winning teams, starting with Mad Mudders next week. The Leakers will have to deal with Cooper Kupp in that one, and then follow that up with matchups against fellow top wide receivers DK Metcalf and Cordarrelle Patterson. The scoreboard operator might be kept busy when Here Goes Nothing and The Dominators, the two highest scoring teams in the league, face off next week. The contest will also see some top shelf QB play, as Matthew Stafford meets up with Tom Brady. Predictions: Nothing by 1 The Nothing lose no starters this week but have a banged up James Robinson while the Leakers lose no bye week players but lost Ridley, Prescott, Davis and still wait to get McCaffrey back. This is one banged up team. QBs: Murray VS Prescot or Mayfield, Dak is hurt as is Winston, so Mayfield might be the only healthy QB and he takes on a limping Murray or they can turn to Stafford. RBs; Robinson & Henrderson VS Herbert & Barkley, if Barkley doesnt' play there is no one else healthy to play. Other top players are Adams, if he too can play VS Jefferson, Justin was hobbled on Sunday night but should play this week. Both teams limp into this contest. |
