Patrick O’Dell -VS- Brent Knudson |
One for the BooksResults: Nothing 137 VS Dead 77 Here Goes Nothing pull off an historic beat down against Not Dead Yet this week Coach Brent Knudson might have been looking to rest their nerves a bit after last week's nailbiter. They got the rest, and the win. Here Goes Nothing crushed Not Dead Yet, winning 137 to 77. The 60 point margin that separated these teams represents the biggest blowout of the season so far. The win brings Here Goes Nothing's record to 2 – 1, while dropping Not Dead Yet to 1 – 2. Coach Knudson picked up the Cardinals Defense/ST off the waiver wire this week and they paid immediate dividends. Although Here Goes Nothing got a nice group performance in the win, The Cardinals was just a bit ahead of the others, putting up 20 points.1 They topped all but one Defense/ST this week with that performance. Meanwhile, there's no pointing fingers in Not Dead Yet's loss as they failed all over the place. They had six underperformers, with Russell Wilson (20 points) being the worst.2 On the coaching front, the difference in tactical skill showed this week. Coach Knudson's gameday decisions have been some of the best in the league this season, and this week showed why. They went with Ja'Marr Chase over the higher ranked DeVonta Smith. This decision gave Here Goes Nothing a nice 19 point bonus, which just made the final result that much more embarrassing. It also earned Coach Knudson 'Coach of the Week' honors, as they gave their squad more extra points than anyone else in the league. Coach Patrick O'Dell seems to have forgotten to set his lineup this week. He left Dalvin Cook in the game, despite the fact that he was a guaranteed zero points. That cost his team 3 points, which would have helped make the final score slightly less embarrassing. After his decisions this week, he has now cost his team points for the season (only 1 point worse than the experts, but still).
Predictions: Nothing by 1 The Nothing are the defending champs and look to be among the best this has to offer once again. The Dead are 1-1 so they need a win to over .500 on the year. QBs: Murray VS Wilson, two of the best at the position, Murray plays At Jacksonville while Wilson is on the road against the Vikings. RBs: Robsinson & Henderson VS Gibson & Cook, the Rs have stuggled on the Nothing while Cook has been very good for the Dead. Other top players are Adams VS Robinson, Allen will have Fields on the field next week, we shall see how the two do together. |
