Results: Cougars 98 VS Dead 83 Jalen Hurts brings the goods in a game against Not Dead Yet Lady Cougars were able to grind out a solid victory this week against Not Dead Yet, winning by a score of 98 to 83. Lady Cougars got some measure of revenge on Not Dead Yet for their matchup back in week one, when Lady Cougars lost 111 to 80. The win brings Lady Cougars' record to 2 – 5, while dropping Not Dead Yet to an identical 2 – 5. Lady Cougars had a three-man strike force with Jalen Hurts, Mo Alie-Cox, and Jonathan Taylor combining for 61 points. That makes it four straight games of overperforming expectations for Taylor. The hot streak has left him as the 3rd best running back in the league. Meanwhile, Not Dead Yet saw seven different players underperform, and while none of them particularly stuck out, Allen Robinson and his 1 point was officially the worst. Coach Patrick O'Dell has to be used to bad scores from Robinson, who has been the worst performer on Not Dead Yet more times than any other player. He finished his sixth consecutive week of failing to catch more than four passes. Looking at lineup decisions, Coach O'Dell wound up with a perfect lineup this week, albeit by following the CBSSports projections to the letter. This is the first time all year that Coach O'Dell has pulled that off. Predictions: Cougars by 1 The bye week hits both teams hard this week. The Cougars will be without Josh Allen< Ceedee Lamb and Vikings defense. The Dead lose Dalvin Cook, TE Schulz, Mike Williams and K. ALlen at the WR. QBs: Bridgewater VS Hurts, with Josh out that means Hurts gets the nod. RBs: Taylor & Gaskin or Drake VS Gibson & Harris, with Cook out Harris might be the starter for the Dead. Other top weapons are Sutton VS Waddle, two young rising WRs that need to step up to help fill the void of losing so many starters. |
