Kyle Kuopus -VS- Steve Pintar |
No Threat
Results: Attack 112 VS Yoopers 69 Da Yoopers had no chance as Jahmyr Gibbs got the job done Sack Attack started the post-season off with a bang. They made it look easy against Da Yoopers, winning 112 to 69. Sack Attack got some retribution on Da Yoopers for their game in week two, when Sack Attack lost in a heartbreaker, 93 to 92. Sack Attack have now won three games in a row, which gives them a 10 – 5 record. With the loss, Da Yoopers will close the season at 8 – 7. When Coach Steve Pintar entertained thoughts of winning this game, he probably didn't include the three players that ended up leading the way. Jahmyr Gibbs scored 25 points, Rashee Rice got 15, and Cole Kmet dropped 8. Gibbs posted 108 yards and a pair of touchdowns thanks to his next-level tackle-breaking ability. Da Yoopers really lost this game as a team. They had seven underperformers, with Breece Hall (1 point) being the worst. Coach Kyle Kuopus has to be used to bad scores from Hall, who has been the worst performer on Da Yoopers more times than any other player. His performances have been a good barometer for Da Yoopers this season, as they have gone 1 – 5 when he fails to meet his expectations, and 3 – 1 when he meets them. Coach Kuopus has to look in the mirror for part of the blame for this week's loss. Perhaps scared off by Jakobi Meyers's 2 point performance last week, Coach Kuopus left him on the bench in favor of Garrett Wilson, despite the experts' prediction that Meyers should have played. This decision took a 16 point chunk out of Da Yoopers' final score, which–thankfully for Coach Kuopus–didn't matter much this game. It does mark the first time this year that Coach Kuopus' decisions have cost his team points. Predictions: The Yoopers finished the season in 3rd place in the North with a 8-6 record. The Attack finished in 2nd plce in the South with a 9-5 record, Injuries: Tyreek Hill left Monday night game with an ankle injury, losing him this week would be a tough blow to the Attack. The Yoopers have no significant injuries, except the benching of QB Dobbs. |
