Week # 3 Results: |
Dwight Yarger -VS- Sam Zarr |
Deluge
Results: Justin Jefferson came up huge for The Rookie in this high flying contest The Rookie (3 – 0) came into the game as the biggest favorite this week, and while the experts got the winner right, the margin was a surprise. Coach Sam Zarr's boys tightroped past Mad Mudders (1 – 2), winning 143 to 141. The two teams combined for the highest score so far this season. Bad luck for Mad Mudders in this contest, as they would have won this week against all but one other team. With the win and those 143 points, The Rookie now sits at the top of every component in the CBS power rankings. The Rookie had all (well, most) hands on deck in this win, with seven players beating their positional averages. Justin Jefferson was the best of the bunch, producing 26 points.2 Jefferson has now exceeded his points expectations in every game so far this year. His speed was on full display on Sunday: he left the defense in the dust on this 52-yard score. Meanwhile, Derrick Henry loomed large in the loss for Mad Mudders, putting up 2 points.3 King Henry fell farther short of his expected points than any other player this week. Next week will see The Rookie taking on the 1 – 2 Sack Attack. The scoreboard operator might be kept busy in that one, as those are the two highest scoring teams in the league. As for Mad Mudders, they will match up with The Dominators. The game ought to be quite the strategic battle as it will feature the best gameday coaches in the league so far. Predictions: Rookie by 1 The Rookie is off to a fast start in year 2 in the league, can he beat the Mudders in a non-divisional game. QBs: Josh Allen VS Joe Burrow, Cincy is 0-2 on the year, Joe has to play much better in this one. Josh is at Washington and look to go above .500 on the year. RBs: Henry & Jacobs VS McCaffrey & Dillon, does Dillon get the start or does the Rookie turn to Williams instead? WRs: Jefferson & D. Smith VS Ridley & Aiyuk, both WRs were big in weekl 1 for the Mudders but only scored 7 points combined in week #2. Is this an up or down week for these WRs? |
