Dennis Helm -VS- Andy Lisowski |
Results: Honor 107 VS Dominators 87 The Playoff run ends. “We needed a win badly to make the playoffs so it hurts knowing we came up short. I really thought going into this game that we had a good shot at beating them, they had a decent game from Marvin Harrison but the Bears defense was the true playoff killer. They are simply a scoring machine on defense. We are done with the 2006 season but I am already looking ahead to next season. I have some possible keepers in Rudi Johnson, Drew Brees and Fitzgerald, so I have some players that make 2007 look even better. I only wish this season wasn’t over so soon”, said the bummed Coach Helm. “We won again and if the Mudders lose we will win the division title and that first round bye. I also have a good chance to represent the league in the challenge so that is quite an achievement for the second worst team last season, but I still can’t but help but feel like the team is limping into the playoffs. Normally at 9-4 I would be so optimistic about my chances but with McNabb and Portis out the team just doesn’t feel like a world beater. Hopefully I can prove the league and myself wrong and win another three straight”, said the happy to be 9-4 Coach Lisowski. Predictions: Dominators by 1 The Dominators need this one badly to clinch a playoff spot, so I have to pick them due to the need of this game. But I do like how the Honor rebounded in their first game without Donovan. Will Kitna be able to compete against Brees for the Dominators. Also will Kevin Jones be able to play this week after missing last week. The battle at WR could decide this one: Johnson, Harrison & Boldin VS Fitzgerald, Burress and Galloway. |
