Results: Nothing 150 VS Mudders 112 Here Goes Nothing gets boost from high draft picks like CeeDee Lamb Coach Brent Knudson probably wanted to take a vacation after last week's down-to-the-wire contest. They got a mini-vacation in this week's blowout. Here Goes Nothing destroyed Mad Mudders, winning 150 to 112. Here Goes Nothing not only got the win, but posted the 2nd highest scoring game of the year. The loss drops Mad Mudders to the last spot in the South division at 3 – 5. The win brings Here Goes Nothing to 5 – 3. CeeDee Lamb, A.J. Brown, and Justin Herbert were Coach Knudson's top three draft picks, and they all justified their selections this week. Lamb scored 34 points, Brown got 31, and Herbert dropped 35. Brown has now overperformed the experts' predictions in six straight games. He caught all eight of his targets on Sunday, an incredible accomplishment considering one of them might be the most impressive catch this season. Meanwhile, while balance might be good for gymnasts, it didn't help Mad Mudders this week. Josh Allen topped the quarterback average by 13.9 points to lead the team, while the Saints Defense/ST fell only 4.3 points short of the average D/ST in bringing up the rear. The Saints' 4 point performance made them the worst performer on Mad Mudders for the first time this year. On the coaching front, the difference in tactical skill showed this week. Coach Knudson were showing off the tactical skills that have made them one of the best coaches in the league this season. They wound up with a perfect lineup this week, albeit by following the CBSSports projections to the letter. This is the first time all season that Coach Knudson has pulled that off. In addition to the loss, Coach Dwight Yarger didn't exactly bolster their 'Coach of the Year' campaign. They went with the Saints Defense/ST over the higher ranked the Vikings Defense/ST. This decision shaved 5 points from Mad Mudders' score, which ultimately didn't make a difference in the final outcome. After their decisions this week, Coach Yarger have now cost their team points for the season (only 1 point worse than the experts, but still). Predictions: |
