Results: Sports 93 VS Mudders 89 David Montgomery made it rain for Mad Mudders After last week's blowout, Big Dog Sports got a big change of pace with this week's tight contest versus Mad Mudders. In the only close game this week, Big Dog Sports just barely got past Mad Mudders, winning 93 to 89. Big Dog Sports won despite having the 4th lowest scoring total in the league this week. With the win, they moved to 3 – 1 – 1, good for the top spot in the North division. The loss drops Mad Mudders' record to 3 – 2. Coach Thomas Schwanebeck could not have been happy with their squad after Sunday's main action. They had six underperformers, with Kendre Miller (4 points) bringing up the rear. Miller might be heading back to the waiver wire after getting picked up before this game. Big Dog Sports also had to deal with a poor effort from Quentin Johnston (7.8 points below expected). Meanwhile, Mad Mudders were at least doing decent. The tag team of David Montgomery and Ryan Fitzgerald carried the water, scoring 28 points between them. Montgomery's performance paced Mad Mudders for the 2nd time this year. Going into Sunday night, our projections had Mad Mudders comfortably ahead (they had a 95.8% chance of winning). However, that was before the rest of Coach Dwight Yarger's squad decided to go on vacation. James Cook was the worst of them, scoring 8.8 points fewer than he was expected to, which was enough to give Big Dog Sports the victory.
