Working It
Results: Jahmyr Gibbs (55 points) leads Sack Attack to a win over Mad Mudders If Coach Dwight Yarger were looking for a little excitement in this game after last week's blowout they certainly got it (but probably didn't enjoy it). Mad Mudders lost a heartbreaker against Sack Attack, 118 to 117. Mad Mudders have now scored 260 points over the last two weeks, which is quite a turnaround given that they were the lowest scoring team in the league at the beginning of that stretch. The win brings Sack Attack's winning streak to four games, bringing their record to 10 – 2. The loss drops Mad Mudders' record to 6 – 6. Throughout Sack Attack's winning streak, Jahmyr Gibbs has been coming up with big performances. This week was no different. Gibbs made it rain, totaling 55 points. His performance early on Sunday took him from the 4th best running back to the 2nd best running back in the league. His final touchdown (he had three total) was this 69-yard burst on the first play in overtime. Meanwhile, Josh Allen hadn't dropped the ball for Mad Mudders since week two's stinker. Well, that run has come to an end. Allen and David Montgomery gave Mad Mudders 8 and 2 points, respectively. Allen's 8 points were the fewest he has scored this year. His performance this week was a spectacularly bad finish to his eight game streak of beating the league average. Next week Sack Attack will be involved in a clash of the titans. They will take on The Dominators in a matchup of the two top records in the league. The game will be a rematch from week nine, and Coach Steve Pintar will no doubt be hoping that Lamar Jackson can drop 36 points like he did last time. Meanwhile, Mad Mudders will collide with Da Yoopers next week. Predictions: Bye week players Oronde Gadsden is lost for Mudders no starters are lost for Attacl QBs: Allen VS Jackson, Josh is playing houston on Thursday night while Lamar is playing the Jets. |
