Draft Dividends
Results: Not Dead Yet gets boost from high draft picks like Bijan Robinson Coming into the game, Here Goes Nothing had scored the fewest points of any team this season. No surprise then, they got weak results this week. Not Dead Yet destroyed Here Goes Nothing, winning 126 to 85. The win brings Not Dead Yet's record to 3 – 1, while dropping Here Goes Nothing to 1 – 3. Coach Patrick O'Dell used early draft picks on Bijan Robinson and CeeDee Lamb, and they came through for him this week. Robinson scored 32 points, while Lamb scored 27. Lamb's 27 point performance was good for 4th place among all players this week.1 His performance on Sunday night took him from the 4th best wide receiver to the 2nd best wide receiver in the league. Not Dead Yet also got a better-than-expected performance from C.J. Stroud, who beat his projections by 7 points. Stroud was slinging dimes like this all day, but it wasn't quite enough versus the Cowboys. Meanwhile, Here Goes Nothing saw five different players underperform, and while none of them particularly stuck out, Tyler Shough and his 17 points was officially the worst.2 Another underperformer, tight end Dalton Schultz, was the worst at his position this week. Will Reichard was the lone bright spot (and a pretty dim one at that) for Here Goes Nothing, scoring 19 points. That was the most that any kicker collected this week. Predictions: Dead by 1 Injuries: Breece Hall has a leg injury can he play this week? Jefferson has a hurt ankle can he play against the Miami? The Dead have a hurt Caleb Williams, does he miss another week? QBs: Stroud VS Shough, CJ is playing Dallas at home while Tyler is on Monday night at home against the Falcons. WRs: Lamb & Smith VS Olave & JJ, if JJ can't play does Watson took over his spot? CeeDee is playing at Houston. |
