Matthew Stafford (44 points) watches Da Yoopers win from the bench

Da Yoopers were able to grind out a solid victory this week against Lady Cougars, winning by a score of 120 to 107. Just another good result from the leagues' all-time leader in winning percentage.

The win evens up Da Yoopers' record at 1 – 1. The loss drops Lady Cougars' record to 0 – 2.

Da Yoopers had several players step up in the win, as five starters beat their positional averages. Amon-Ra St. Brown was just a bit ahead of the others, racking up 29 points.2 Da Yoopers also got a better-than-expected performance from Brock Purdy, who beat his projections by 8.8 points. Mr. Relevant made a throw into one of the tightest windows you will ever see.

Da Yoopers would have won by a more comfortable margin if Coach Kyle Kuopus had put Matthew Stafford (44 points) in the lineup. Stafford's performance this week was better than every other bench-rider in the league.

Meanwhile, Coach Laurie Leboeuf will find no easy scapegoat for this week's loss. Lady Cougars were brought down by seven underperformers, the worst of whom was Cam Skattebo (4 points).1 Coach Leboeuf certainly can't blame the loss on Josh Allen, who scored 54 points. That performance topped all but one player this week.
