Do You Believe in Miracles?
Results: Mudders 122 VS Dead 82 Josh Allen says, "YES!" This game was expected to be close. Mad Mudders found those expectations insulting. In the only blowout this week, they crushed Not Dead Yet, winning 122 to 82. The 122 points Mad Mudders scored set the high mark for the league this week. Mad Mudders stumbled big time right from the get-go. Xavier Worthy was the worst of a six man group of underperformers, scoring zero points. Worthy started 2025 off in the worst way possible, suffering a dislocated shoulder at the hands of his own teammate. Mad Mudders also had to deal with a poor effort from Tee Higgins (8.2 points below expected). Meanwhile, Not Dead Yet were at least doing decent. Saquon Barkley and Cameron Dicker drove the bus, scoring 26 points between them. Going into late Sunday, our projections gave Mad Mudders only a 6.4% chance of winning. Coach Dwight Yarger's squad blew those projections out of the water. Josh Allen and Derrick Henry scored 47.8 more points than they were expected to, which was enough to give Mad Mudders an unlikely victory. Predictions: Mudders by 1 The presason favorite by CBS is my pick to win this week. The pre-season favortte can't lose its first game, so I am taking them to win this week. |
