Results: George Pickens and Here Goes Nothing take down Da Yoopers for their 3rd win in a row Coming into the game, Da Yoopers had scored the most points of any team over the last three weeks. They scored a decent amount of points this week, but it wasn't enough. Coach Kyle Kuopus' squad lost to Here Goes Nothing, 105 to 91. The loss is more of the same for Da Yoopers, who dropped the last game with Here Goes Nothing by the score of 86 to 74. Here Goes Nothing have now won three games in a row, which gives them a 5 – 6 – 1 record. The loss drops Da Yoopers' record to 6 – 5 – 1. Here Goes Nothing won with a balanced effort, as four players outperformed their positional averages. George Pickens was just a bit ahead of the others, putting up 20 points.2 No surprise there, as he is currently the 2nd best wide receiver in the league. Thanks to his 146-yard performance this week, he now has more receiving yards than ALL the WRs on the team that traded him. Meanwhile, Rachaad White and Brock Purdy were the captain and first mate on the good ship failboat. Together they recorded only 14 points. Coach Kuopus has to be used to bad scores from White, who has been the worst performer on Da Yoopers more times than any other player. He has now underperformed the experts' predictions in five straight games. Coach Brent Knudson cost their team points last week, and did it again this week. They started Tyler Allgeier instead of Tyrone Tracy Jr., despite the experts' prediction that Tracy Jr. should have played. This decision shaved 8 points from Here Goes Nothing's score, which–thankfully for Coach Knudson–didn't matter much this game. Taking risks is par for the course for Coach Knudson, as they have been one of the more risk taking coaches in the league. Predictions: Bye week players Herbert, Allen and Denver defense for Nothing, while Yoopers lose Achane. QBs: Prescott VS Purdy, Dak repalced Justin as he plays Philly while Brock is playing Carolina. |
Star of the Show
Results: Jaxon Smith-Njigba scores 37 points to help put away Juggernauts Jaxon Smith-Njigba was expected to be the top performing WR this week, and that's exactly what he was. JSN led the way as Team Up Honor gave Juggernauts a 154 to 91 drubbing. That makes it seven straight games where he has outperformed the league average wide receiver. He broke the Seahawks' single-season receiving yard record (reminder: it's Week 12). Team Up Honor also got a better-than-expected performance from Jalen Hurts, who beat his projections by 10.4 points. A good performance by Hurts has been crucial for Team Up Honor all year, as they have gone 3 – 2 when he exceeds expectations, and 0 – 4 when he doesn't. Meanwhile, Juggernauts really lost this game as a team. They were brought down by five underperformers, the worst of whom was the Buccaneers Defense/ST (1 point).1 That was the fewest of any Defense/ST this week. The win was Team Up Honor's 4th in their last five games, bringing their record to 5 – 7. The loss is the 3rd straight for Juggernauts, and puts their record at 3 – 8 – 1. Predictions: Bye week players Th eJuggernauts lose RJ Harvey while Hono lose no one. QBs: Hurts VS Jones or Darnold, Jalen is playing at Dallas, which QB starts for the 'Nauts? |
Better Lucky than Good
Results: A.J. Brown helps The Dominators to a lucky win After last week's laugher, things got a lot more exciting for Coach Dennis Helm this week. The Dominators squeaked past Not Dead Yet, winning 89 to 85. Big time luck for The Dominators in this contest, as they would have lost against all but one other team. The loss makes it five in a row for Not Dead Yet, putting their record at 2 – 10. The win brings The Dominators to 8 – 4. A.J. Brown was the clear leader on The Dominators this week, scoring 20 points. This is the 3rd time this year that Brown has led The Dominators. He has been making good strides recently, improving his performance in each of the last three weeks. Meanwhile, AJ Barner and Kayshon Boutte were quite coordinated in their failures for Not Dead Yet. They each tallied only 1 point. Barner has now failed to top the league average tight end in three straight games. Next week could eventually determine who the top seed is, as The Dominators will go against Sack Attack in a game between league leaders. The coaches in this game could exchange tips on coming up clutch, having both won close games this week. As for Not Dead Yet, they will match up with Lady Cougars next week. That team is not coming in very hot, after finishing this week with only 70 points. These two teams squared off in week four, when Not Dead Yet lost 133 to 103. Predictions: Bye week players Waddle for Dominators while Dead lose kicker Dicker. QBs: Stafford VS maye, Matthew is playing Tampa Bay at home while Drake is playing at Cincy. |
Working It
Results: Jahmyr Gibbs (55 points) leads Sack Attack to a win over Mad Mudders If Coach Dwight Yarger were looking for a little excitement in this game after last week's blowout they certainly got it (but probably didn't enjoy it). Mad Mudders lost a heartbreaker against Sack Attack, 118 to 117. Mad Mudders have now scored 260 points over the last two weeks, which is quite a turnaround given that they were the lowest scoring team in the league at the beginning of that stretch. The win brings Sack Attack's winning streak to four games, bringing their record to 10 – 2. The loss drops Mad Mudders' record to 6 – 6. Throughout Sack Attack's winning streak, Jahmyr Gibbs has been coming up with big performances. This week was no different. Gibbs made it rain, totaling 55 points. His performance early on Sunday took him from the 4th best running back to the 2nd best running back in the league. His final touchdown (he had three total) was this 69-yard burst on the first play in overtime. Meanwhile, Josh Allen hadn't dropped the ball for Mad Mudders since week two's stinker. Well, that run has come to an end. Allen and David Montgomery gave Mad Mudders 8 and 2 points, respectively. Allen's 8 points were the fewest he has scored this year. His performance this week was a spectacularly bad finish to his eight game streak of beating the league average. Next week Sack Attack will be involved in a clash of the titans. They will take on The Dominators in a matchup of the two top records in the league. The game will be a rematch from week nine, and Coach Steve Pintar will no doubt be hoping that Lamar Jackson can drop 36 points like he did last time. Meanwhile, Mad Mudders will collide with Da Yoopers next week. Predictions: Bye week players Oronde Gadsden is lost for Mudders no starters are lost for Attacl QBs: Allen VS Jackson, Josh is playing houston on Thursday night while Lamar is playing the Jets. |
One Sided Affair
Results: Davante Adams leads Big Dog Sports in an easy win This was expected to be a close game. It was anything but. Big Dog Sports destroyed Lady Cougars, winning 104 to 70. With the win, Big Dog Sports moved to 7 – 4 – 1, good for the top spot in the North division. Thanks to the loss, Lady Cougars have now come out on the losing end of three of their last four games, moving their record to 6 – 6. Davante Adams led a very balanced group of four overperformers for Big Dog Sports this week, totaling 21 points.2 It's just another day at the office for Adams, who has led Big Dog Sports more times than any other player. His second touchdown of the day was this perfectly thrown 24-yarder. Two players stood out for their poor performance on Lady Cougars, with Baker Mayfield and Alvin Kamara combining to score only 8 points. Mayfield threw for just 41 yards (and two interceptions) before exiting at halftime with a shoulder injury. On the coaching front, Coach Laurie Leboeuf followed the experts' advice for each position this week and ended up with a perfect lineup (yes, any substitutions and Lady Cougars would have scored LESS). This is the first time all year that Coach Leboeuf has pulled that off (slow clap). Predictions: Bye week players Vidal & Patterson for Cougars while Sports lose Johnston. QBs: Mayfeild VS ??? No one on the Sports is playing if Rodgers misses this week with a hand injury. Who is picked up? |
