Tyler Lockett WR | SEA | 159 |
Jerick McKinnon RB | KC | 140 |
D’Andre Swift RB | DET | 133 |
Dameon Pierce RB | HOU | 133 |
Possible Keepers:
Some possible keepers this off-season are Joe Burrow at the QB position after his 480 point season. Stefon Diggs was really good at the WR position with 209 points. At RB they have DeAndre Swift or Dameon Pierce as both backs scored 133 points.
Overall:
The Yoopers had a really good first half going 7-0, they won two more games before they went on a 3-game losing streak. The won the North division but were upset in the Semi-finals by the Dead. So the first half was really good, but the second half became a struggle and that continued in the playoffs. The team used Joe Burrow at the QB position as he has the Bengals poised for a Super Bowl run. At the skilled position they used Diggs, Locket and when healthy Deebo Samuel. to lead an air-attack. On the ground they really liked how Dameon Pierce came on strong in Houston for a rookie RB on a bad team, he was a pleasant surprise. Swift has so much potential but at times this season he was hurt and out-touched by Williams. One player to watch this off-season is rookie RB Breece Hall, he has the potential to be a game-changer if returns fully from his ACL, he could be a possible keeper. The Yoopers overall had a solid season, but I am sure the semi-finals upset will leave a sour taste in their mouths.
Grade: B+
Mid-Season Record: 7-0
Mid-Season MVP:
Joe Burrow, he has the Bengals’ thinking a return to the Super Bowl with his first half play, 2,000 yards passing and 18 total TDs, getting three rushing TDs is a nice addition to this team.
Best Pickup:
Enis Benjamin, very few pickups for this team, but this one could pay off if James Conner continues to miss games. He has 2 TDs and 265 yards since filling in.
Comments:
The Yoopers are having a season that all fantasy owners dream about. Unbeaten over 7 games. Can’t get any better. How did they do this? How about using a QB in Joe Burrow who single handily has put his team on his back and wants to get back to the Super Bowl. At RB they use Pierce and Benjamin as they wait for Swift to decide if he wants to play football again. At WR they use Stefon Diggs and Deebo Samuel, having CMC join the 49ers should help open the field for Samuel. Other top players are Lockett, Sutton and D. Johnson, based on the matchups the team hopes to start the best player at the Flex. So where does the team go from here? How about start off by beating the Cougars to open the second half and join only a handful of teams who have gone 8-0. No team in the league has ever won 9 straight. Something else to shoot for besides a league title. At 7-0 this team is a lock to be a playoff team, they just need to hold off the Nothing to earn their first division title, but more importantly a first-round bye.
Grade: A+
Year-End: 8-6 – 3rd place
Keepers: Steffon Diggs and Debo Samuel, keeping two WRs means the team needs to hit it big at the RB spot early in the draft. But having two WRs like Diggs and Samuel gives this team big play threat each time they step on that field. combined 2,000 yards and 20+ TDs are capable for these two guys.
Top young players: Breece Hall and Dameon Pierce. Pierce appears to have won the starting job in Houston after Marlon Mack was released. Hall plays on the Jets and was a 2nd round pick, if the Jets are going to compete in the AFC East, Hall needs to establish himself as the top back on the Jets back field.
Overall:
The Yoopers enter their third season in the league and look to earn another trip to the playoffs. They will have to do that without the benefit of Derrick Henry carrying the rock on this team. Instead, this team is going to beat teams through the air with the likes of Diggs, Samuel, Sutton, Locket or Dionte Johnson. That is a very good WR group that can hopefully stay healthy and score in bunches. At QB they will use Joe Burro as he tries to get back to the SuperBowl. The RBs will be DeAndre Swift, and a pair of young backs in Hall and Pierce. Can this very young RB group avoid a rookie slump? The Yoopers drafted 8th each round and had a solid draft with a B grade from CBS. The Yoopers have had a successful first two seasons in the league, will #3 be even better?

Jaylen Waddle WR | MIA | 195 |
CeeDee Lamb WR | DAL | 190 |
Possible Keepers:
Justin Fields is showing flashes of Michael Vick or Lamar Jackson down in Chicago. The Bears didn’t win many games this season but it wasn’t due to this young QB. Nick Chubb and Barkley were really good this season. It wouldn’t be a shock to see both of these RBs kept. At WR they use two speedy and your WRs in Waddle and Lamb.
Overall:
The Juggernauts on paper are a really good football team. I could see 5-6 players kept by this team. Hard to throw away a QB like Herbert or Fields. Throw in two really good RBs in Chubb and Barkley. Then you have two really good WRs in Waddle and Lamb. Do they keep the two backs, or look at keeping three players like a QB, RB and WR: Fields, Chubb and Lamb? There was a reason why no playoff-team wanted to play the Juggernauts in a wild-card game. When they were eliminated from the playoffs, there was a collective sigh of relief from the 6 playoff teams. The Juggernauts have 9 months to decide who the keepers will be and come up with a draft strategy to secure some extra wins in 2023 to avoid missing the playoffs. Having a bunch of possible keepers gives this team plenty of options, something all fantasy can only dream about.
Grade: C+
Mid-Season Record: 3-4
Mid-Season MVP:
Nick Chubb and Saquon Barkley, co-MVP. Both backs are having a solid first half, combined they scored 12 TDs and 1,500 yards. Both look like keepers for next season.
Best Pickup:
Arizona defense, simply because they only have three pickups and the other two are no longer on team. Unusual for this team to have such few pickups.
Comments:
This team is 3-4 and simply losing because Justin Herbert hasn’t been anywhere near as good as his was during his 2021 season. With only 12 TDs, this drop-off has cost the team wins. How do they get into the playoffs? By relying on the two stud backs of Barkley and Chubb, some teams shied away from Saquon but the ‘Nauts prove the doubters wrong with his solid first half. At WR they use Lamb and Waddle who have combined for 1,100/5. Two young WRs that will have a bright future ahead of them, as long as Dak and Tua can stay healthy. Other top players are Etienne, London and Pitts, this team sure likes the young players. Pitts has been a disappointment this year, but hopefully he can have a much better second half. Etienne is the lead back in Jacksonville, he could be a back to watch and see if he develops into a must-start player. The Juggernauts are among 6 teams that are 3-4 or 2-5 and are battling for 2 playoff spots. It is going to be fun to see which of the 6 teams can go 4-3 or better in the 2nd half and earn one of those two elusive spots. Because once you’re in, anything can happen.
Grade: C
Year End: 7-7 – 7th place
Keepers: None, this team lost Mahomes and finished with the 4th draft slot. Now is the time to rebuild the franchise.
Top young players: Lots of rookies on the team: Travis Etienne, James Cook, George Pickens, and Drake London .Pickens plays on Pittsburgh and could become a star WR to pair Drake London who was drafted by Atlanta.
Overall:
The Juggernauts are rebuilding this franchise through the draft as they had to cut ties with Mahomes. To replace Patrick, they turn to young star Justin Herbert and his high-octane Chargers offense. At RB they selected Nick Chubb, Saquon Barkley and the pair of young backs Etienne and Cook. If James Cook can play anywhere close to what Dalvin plays at, he could be a surprise hit in Buffalo. At WR the team’s weapons are Lamb, Waddle and Batemon, but hopefully the two young WRs, see above, can have a break-out season. Another star player is Kyle Pitts at the TE position. He has the making of an elite TE in the NFL, will his second season be known as his break-out season? The Juggernauts was the last team drafting in the first round, due to keepers. That put the team in a tough spot and one reason why CBS gave this team a C+ grade. The season could come down to the 4 rookies, if two or three have Elijah Mitchell or Ja’Marr Chase type numbers this team will be in position to earn a playoff spot.

Possible Keepers:
Cooper Kupp. before the injury Cooper was having a solid season. In fact, Devonta Smith played the entire season BUT scored only 19 points more than Kupp had. With Tyreek Hill having to be cut and the first pick in the draft, I can see everyone cut on this team.
Overall:
The Mudders had an awful season finishing with 4 wins on the year. They had two QBs in Tua and Rodgers who were swapped based on the matchups. At WR they have some really good ones in Hill, Smith and Kupp (at least before he was lost for the season). One position that needs to be addressed this off-season is the RB position. When Singletary is your leading back with 131 points, you need to beef up that position in order to avoid a losing season in 2023. How bad were the RBs, at one point during the season, the Mudders scored no points from the RB position, yet they still won. Never heard of anyone doing that. With the first pick of the draft. They will have plenty of options: Jonathan Taylor and Tyreek Hill will be two of many possible first round picks They have until late August to come up with draft strategy to turn around the Mudders franchise. They will be retired by that point, what else do you have to do, besides honey-do lists and Fantasy football.
Grade: D
Mid-Season Record: 2-5
Mid-Season MVP:
Cooper Kupp, he is having a solid season in LA, even with the Rams struggling as a team. 4 TDs and 600 yards, Tyreek Hill would be the MVP, if not for Tua getting hurt.
Best Pickup:
Tyler Boyd, another team that has used lots of pickups, but few are even on the team, and if they are, they are bench players. Maybe Boyd can become a dependable starter over the bye weeks.
Comments:
The Mudders enter the second half with a chance at a playoff spot even though they are 2-5. How can they string some wins together? How about a really good second half from Aaron Rodgers? He has 11 TDs and almost 1,600 yards passing. What is the most amazing thing, he has 9 rushes for 9 yards, that is just awful, like Peyton Manning rushing awful. At the RB position they will use ???? Not even sure who the backs will be. They have been swapping backs but so far nothing has worked. Last week both backs scored zero points and yet they still won. Never had a team win without a single point from a back. At WR, this team really shines with Kupp and Hill, they two guys have caught for 1,300 yards and 6 TDs. If this team is going to be a playoff team, they need those two WRs to have a huge second half. Other players that need to have a good second half are Tyler Boyd and Devin Duvernay, these two have combined for 6 TDs and almost 800 yards, if Devin can become Lamar’s go-to receiver his numbers will only climb. The Mudders are on thin ice, just like 5 other teams. Having two great WRs means they can ill afford an injury to either. It will be fun to watch how these 6 teams end the 2022 regular season and find out which two can earn a playoff spot. Will the Mudders be one of them? We will know that answer in December.
Grade: C-
Year End: 8-6 – 2nd place
Keepers: Cooper Kupp and Tyreek Hill, we all saw how good 2021 was for Kupp. What remains to be seen is how well Hill will play in 2022 with Tua throwing passes to him instead of Mahomes.
Top young players:
Javonte Williams, while not a rookie, he still is only in his 2nd season but at times he showed promise. With Wilson being a huge upgrade over Drew Lock, the Broncos should be much better thus giving Williams more chances to score.
Overall:
The Mudders kept two of the best WRs in the game in Hill and Kupp, in order to get back to the championship game, they need to surround those two players with stars, let see if they succeeded? At QB the team once again selected Aaron Rodgers in the 5th round, this season could a down year for Rodgers as the teams looks to be more of a run team, but Arod lost Adams and MVS. At RB the team will use Williams, Akers and Singletary, Williams showed much promise last year, but Akers and Singletary had a down year last year, if the Rams and Bills want to go far in the playoffs once again this season, having a strong ground game will makes things much easier for Stafford and Allen. Other weapons on this team are Cordelle Patterson and Dawson Knox. Patterson is a human Swiss army knife doing so much on offense, can he do it again in 2922? The Mudders have a talented group of keepers but not having a star RB like Dalvin Cook or McCaffrey could be a reason why CBS gave the team a D. In addition to not having a stud RB they only have 3 RBs on the roster, with injuries and bye weeks, the lack of a bench at the position concerns me. In the NFL the team that loses in the Super Bowl struggles the following season will the same thing hold true for the Mudders?

DK Metcalf WR | SEA | 142 |
Possible Keepers:
What is not to like about keeping Josh Allen and his 510 points scored this season. I see no reason why the Bills won’t be an elite team in the NFL and Allen is one big reason. Davante Adams, while the Raiders didn’t have the kind of success that one hoped for. Adams was still really good with 267 points. At RB, Kamara is an option with his 145 points, but unless New Orleans fixes the QB position, no backs will be kept.
Overall:
The Dominators had a solid season having won the South division title and were among the league leaders in scoring on the season. They have an elite QB in Josh Allen and Adams was once again one of the best WRs in the NFl, no matter who is throwing to him. Where this team ultimately may have lost their semi-final game is a lack of running back depth. Kamara has struggled as the Saints continue to search for a QB, as I see Andy Dalton not being their answer. The WRs were really good in addition to Adams, they used Metcalf and Cooper to secure the South. So where do they go from here? With a late round pick in the draft, I can see Adams and Allen kept. I know QBs being kept in the second round is never the ideal choice, but a possible trade for an RB this off-season could be an option. If they can land a RB for a 4th rounder, that could be worth exploring. This team has lots of option to think over the next 8 months to plan ahead for 2023 season. Will 2023 be the year that Championship #2 is won?
Grade: B
Mid-Season Record: 4-3
Mid-Season MVP:
Josh Allen, this team would not be 4-3 if Josh Allen wasn’t on this team He has 1,900 passing yards and 19 total TDs. Possible League and NFL MVP.
Best Pickup:
Gus Edwards, none of the other pickups are starting in week #8, with Dobbins out, Edwards could become that lead back that the Ravens miss.
Comments:
The Dominators enter the second half kind of a Jekyll and Hyde fantasy team. They have been the highest scoring team twice this season but other weeks they are struggling to score. How can they improve on their 4-3 start? By getting the same passing yards from Josh Allen as he has thrown in the first half: 1,900 yards and 17 passing TDs. At RB they use Kamara, Montgomery and newly acquired Gus Edwards. on the bench they stashed James Robinson, who might have a larger role in NY after his trade from Jacksonville. Other weapons are Cooper and Adams, as those two have combined for 900 yards and 9 TDs. Other players who need to get past their injuries are DK Metcalf and Mike Williams, this team has plenty of WRs to use at the flex spot. At 4-3, they hold a 2-game lead over the four 2-5 teams, so if they win just 3 games, they would be in good shape for a playoff spot. But being only 1 game behind the Cougars, they have to shoot for 4-5 wins and earn that South division title. Which of course gives you a first-round bye. This is what makes fantasy football season so fun, no matter where you are in the standings, at mid-season, there is always something to play for heading into the second half.
Grade: B
Year End: 6-7-1 – 8th place
Keepers:
None, only three teams cut their entire team and the Dominators were one of them. CBS gave this team an A- so they like how the team was rebuilt.
Top young players:
This team was built using players who have been in the league for 3+ years such as Josh Allen, DK Metcalf and Antonio Gibson. No rookie growing pains to get past. We shall see, as a keeper league, if that limits their choice of keeper’s next season or beyond.
Overall:
The Dominators cut the entire roster but ended up selecting Alvin Kamara once again with the third pick. It doesn’t appear Alvin will be suspended this season by the NFL. If he can stay healthy the Saints look to have an explosive offense which Alvin will be involved in heavily. Other backs on this team are Montgomery, Gibson and Robinson. All three backs play on an offensively challenged team, if the team is punting, that means less goal-line carries. At WR the weapons of choice are Adams, Mike Williams and DK Metcalf. Adams and DK have new QBs throwing to them this year, we shall see if that affects their performance. Other players who need a solid season are Dallas Goedert at the TE along with WRs Amari Cooper and Robert Woods, with bye weeks, you can never have enough quality WRs to throw in a lineup. The Dominators were the highest scoring team on the season last year but a loss here and a loss there ruined what should have been a playoff team. Will lady luck smile on this team in 2022 or look elsewhere?

Christian McCaffrey was traded from Carolina to San Fransisco, and he never missed a beat. He is catching and rushing for yards and TDs no matter the QB is or what city he plays on. At 261 points on the year, he will be highly drafted in 2023. Justin Jefferson, the young WR in Minnesota once again had a really good season with 238 points. While I would have like to have seen more TD passes, the yardage is there to push him into the first round in most drafts.
Overall:
The Rookie had some bumps along the way during their first season in the SBEFL. They tried to shake up the team by trading Zeke Elliott for Clyde Helaire, but he ended up on IR and it looks like Pacheco could be their long-term answer in KC. At QB they started off using Matthew Stafford, but he was lost for a big chunk of the season, so they picked up Geno Smith (407 points) and he had a really good season in Seattle. At RB they used McCaffrey and played liked a first round pick. At the WR position they have ALL-Pro in Jefferson, but where this team needs to improve is get more depth at the 2nd RB and WR positions and Flex spot. When Chris Godwin (114) and Allen Lazard (103) are your 5th and 6th highest scoring players, you know depth needs to be addressed next season. The Rookie played in their first season in the SEBFL and found out how difficult it can be to be a playoff team in this league. If they return next season, they will have the 3rd pick in the draft but two really good players to build around.
Grade: C
Mid-Season Record: 2-5
Mid-Season MVP:
Christian McCaffrey, he has 700 combined yards and 3 combined TDs. With the move to SF, his numbers should get even better.
Best Pickup:
Geno Smith, this could be a good pickup as he helps to replace Stafford if he continues to struggle in LA. 11 passing TDs, 1 rushing and 1,700 yards passing, not bad for a guy that was a bench player last year.
Comments:
The Rookie enter their first mid-season with a 2-5 record. But just like 5 other teams with a solid second half they are only one game out of a playoff spot. How can this team string some wins together? How about having Christian McCaffrey have amazing second half in San Franscico. Having a player like George Kittle and Deebo Samuel on the team, means teams can’t stack the box as those players would be wide-open. That should give CMC plenty of running room to thrive. Other weapons include QB Geno Smith as he has the surprising Seahawks in first place in the NFC West. RB Kareem Hunt needs to be involved more in the passing game with only 87 yards. Justin Jefferson is still among the best WRs in the game, but he only has 2 TDs so I want to see that grow to 10 or more by season end. Other players that need to play better are Alan Lazard and Darren Waller. With only 1 TD from Waller, he is one huge reason why the Raiders are struggling. Can the Rookie bounce back and earn a playoff spot? They have some good weapons entering the second half but just like the other three 2-5 teams, this team can’t afford too many bad breaks or tough losses. We will know the final answer to that questions come December.

Keepers:
Christian McCaffrey and Justin Jefferson. Christian has so much talent so it is easy to see why he was kept. Now please stay healthy for an entire season!!! Justin may be the best WR in the NFL in 2022. I am expecting 1,500 yards and 15 TDs.
Top young players:
Only one rookie selected by this team in Christian Watson, he was drafted to help replace Davante Adams in Green Bay. Not easy feat by any stretch, only time will tell if he was a successful draft pick or a bust.
Overall:
The Rookie enter their first season in the SEBFL, after he replaced Scott Knepel. He inherited a solid team with two really good keepers in McCaffrey and Jefferson, hard to argue for keeping those two players. At QB the team selected Matthew Stafford in the 5th round, he looks to get the Rams back to the SuperBowl once again this year. To go with CMC at RB the team will use Zeke Elliott, Melvin Gordon, Henderson and Hunt. All of these backs are veterans but are coming off a down 2021 season, whichever back bounces back the highest, gets the most playing time. The WRs are Godwin, Lazard and Watson. Can Allen and Christian replace Adams in Green Bay? Other weapons will be TE Darren Waller who should be a top 5 TE in the NFL. The health of CMC more or less will determine the success or failure of this team. Trying to replace him last season cost the Leakers a playoff spot. Will the same fate happen to the Rookie? We will know the answer to that question come December.

At the end of this season Jonathan Taylor has to be cut as he is a C player. Considering he missed so much time for the Cougars it didn’t feel like he even played this year. It will be interesting to see where he is drafted next year. Possible keepers are Patrick Mahomes and his 520 points, what is not to like about one the best QBs in the game. Other options are Jones
Overall:
The Cougars had a 5-2 start to open the season but finished 2-5 in the second half. Losing Jonathan Taylor to a big chunk of the season didn’t help make things any easier. When your #1 pick scores only 123 points on the season, that isn’t good but when that player is your 6th highest player on the team is never a good sign. Where this draft went really well was Patrick Mahomes, he was among the league leaders at the QB position and shows no signs of slowing down. Other players that had a good year were Aaron Jones (186) and R. Stevenson (167) to help replace Taylor. WRs were McLaurin (142) and Gabe Davis (139), Davis started off strong but finished with less TDs and yards than expected. With the 5th pick in the draft, I can see Mahomes being a keeper and possibly Aaron Jones or Stevenson. That gives the team two really good keepers as they prepare for a run for title #2.
Grade:
Mid-Season Record: 5-2
Mid-Season MVP:
Patrick Mahomes, he could be the League and NFL MVP if not for Josh Allen. He has 20 TDs and 2,100 yards passing. This team is 5-2 because Mahomes is the starting QB.
Best Pickup:
Gerald Everett, with very few good TEs in the NFL. Having a TE that has 2 TDs and 300 yards, is considered an All-Pro. The days of having 5-10 really good NFL TEs appear to be over.
Comments:
The Cougars enter the second half as the team to beat in the South division. They hold a one game lead over the Dominators but having already beaten them once during the season the week #13 matchup could clinch the division title. How have they gotten off to such a good start? How about having a QB like Patrick Mahomes throwing 20 TD passes. Throw in RBs Aaron Jones, Stevenson and Jonathan Taylor. Imagine how good they would be if Taylor didn’t get hurt and had to suffer under Matt Ryan at QB? At WR they use speedy Gabe Davis, Terry McLaurin, Adam Thielen and Alec Pierce. Davis has been really solid but getting one of the other WRs to become a dependable starter is going to help when Davis has an off game. This team will win because of its core players of Mahomes and the backs. Where they can win playoff games is getting the WRs to play at a level of a Hill, Kupp or Chase. We will see in about 2 months if that happens.

Keepers:
Jonathan Taylor you wouldn’t get any arguments from most fantasy owners for keeping what many considered the #1 player in fantasy football in 2022. He is starting his 3rd season in Indy, but with a new QB each season (Rivers, Wentz and Ryan). Is Ryan the answer to this teams QB struggles? If yes, Taylor could be even better.
Top young players:
No rookies on this team but two second year players in Kenneth Gainwell and Elijah Moore. Both players have starters ahead of them but if Miles Sanders goes down, Gainwell should see a bigger work-load. Stash and hope they pan out.
Overall:
The Cougars finished 4th last season, thus they picked 7th in each round. They lost star QB Josh Allen just as many expect him to the #1 QB in the NFL, figures. They did keep Jonathan Taylor and he may be the #1 fantasy player in 2022, regardless of position. His hope is Matt Ryan gives the Colts a bump at the QB spot so instead of punting, he will see more goal-line carries. Other top weapons: QB Patrick Mahomes, who did lose his top WR in Hill. We shall see if the Chiefs try to be a more balanced offensive team instead of trying to out throw you. At RB they hope Aaron Jones, Gainwell, Stevenson can help support Taylor. At WR the team turns to Davis, McLaurin and Hollywood Brown, when you don’t draft a WR until round #5, you can’t expect a Kupp or Adams to be available. Other weapons are TE George Kittle, Derek Carr and Adam Thielen which could be an absolute steal in round #8. The Cougars on paper look to be equally as good as last season’s team. I love the backs in Taylor and Jones, those two will run but also catch for a ton of points. Throw in Kittle, Mahomes, Thielen, McLaurin and this team will battle for a South division title.

Overall:
The Dead enter the 2022 season with the #1 pick and used that pick wisely to select Derrick Henry. They made some other critical selections such as adding WR AJ Brown, who proved that no matter if he is playing in Tennessee or Phily, he is matchup nightmare. Other really good additions to this team were RB Tony Pollard who at times was the better RB in Dallas and the numbers proved that with 233 points scored. Travis Kelce has been the best TE in football the past few years and 2022 was no different, he is Patrick Mahomes favorite goal-line target. At QB the team used Tom Brady and Kirk Cousins, they used the matchups to start the best of the two QBs. Unfortunately, during the championship game, the incorrect QB was started which led to a loss in the championship game. 2022 was a successful season, they won three weekly highest scoring team awards, made their first trip to the championship game. Next season, hopefully they come back stronger and hungrier for even more and get that first place trophy.
Grade: A-
Mid-Season Record: 3-4
Mid-Season MVP:
Derrick Henry, he was the #1 pick in the 2022 draft and has lived up to that selection with 5 rushing TDs and 500+ rushing yards. If the Titans are going to win the weak AFC South, Derrick will lead them there.
Best Pickup:
NY Giants defense, who would have guessed the NFC East would be the best division in football. The Giants’ defense has come on strong this year with 13 sacks and 8 Fumbles.
Comments:
The Dead enter the second half at 3-4 or a playoff team if the season ended today. If that doesn’t motivate this team to play even better in the second half, they need to pick a new hobby, like knitting. So how does the team get 4 or more wins to earn a playoff spot? By having players like Derrick Henry have a really good second half. He is a back that when he gets hot, can turn a close weekly game into a landslide win. Other players that need to play better are Tom Brady and Leanord Fournette. The Bucs are simply playing bad football, if Tom wants to win one more super Bowl, he needs to pass more than 8 TDs in the second half. Fournette has some receiving TDs but only 1 rushing TD. Basically, this team is a Buccaneers fan, ask Brent for a Jersey because you are on that team’s bandwagon. Other players that need a strong second half, just like the first one is AJ Brown and Travis Kelce. Combined they have 1,000 yards and 9 TDs. As you can see this team is talented and is in the drivers’ seat to earn a playoff spot. With 4 teams breathing down their neck, the pressure is on the set good lineups, make incredible pickups and have the fantasy gods smile on them. If that happens, December should be fun when they enter the playoffs.

Keepers:
With the first pick in the NFL, it was not surprising that this team was all cut and the team was built new.
Top young players:
Tyler Allgeier, he is a 5th round pick by Atlanta. A classic stash and hope he moves up the depth chart and can earn a start during a bye week or an injury.
Overall:
The Dead threw the entire team back this season and when you see Derrick Henry sitting there, you take the beast of a RB. When healthy he is a 100 yard per game back and runs for 1 or 2 scores a game. Does he come with some baggage, yes. First, he missed quite a bit of time last season and second, he plays on a Titans offense that was just plain bad at times last season. Hopefully he stays healthy and remains a #5 pick again in 2023. Other top weapons are RBs: Fournette, AJ Dillon and Tony Pollard. I expect Dillon to be used a lot this season in GB and Fournette will see a ton of carries down in Tampa. At WR the team will use AJ Brown, JuJu Smith Schuster and DJ Moore. Funny in that all three WRs will have a new QB throwing to them this season. Other weapons will be QB Trey Lance and Travis Kelce. Both players will be expected to produce at a high level this year. If the 49ers miss the playoffs the blame will squarely fall on Lance. The Dead on paper appear to be a much-improved team. Health, luck and solid pickups will decide this team’s fate. But CBS and the commish both feel you left the draft with a better team compared to the rest of the league. Now appease the fantasy gods and earn that damn trophy!!!

Austin Ekeler RB | LAC | 272 |
Dalvin Cook RB | MIN | 210 |
Miles Sanders RB | PHI | 203 |
Jamaal Williams RB | DET | 197 |
Possible Keepers:
Jalen Hurts, is proved all doubters wrong that he wouldn’t be as good as he was in 2022. He uses his arm and legs to tear apart opposing defenses. He has the Eagles as the #1 ranked team heading into the NFL playoffs. The League MVP. Autin Eckler, he was simply the best RB in the NFL this season. He is able to turn a short pass into a long TD run. Both leagues who drafted Eckler won my Yahoo and CBS league. that shows how good he truly was in 2022. Other possible keepers are Dalvin Cook, not as dominate as I was expecting but still a really good RB.
Overall:
The Honor kept two really good players this season in Cook and Eckler. Those two players scored a combined 482 points. Throw in 472 points from Jalen Hurts, who was the league MVP, and proved he can use his feet and arm to lead the Eagles to a playoff spot. In addition to the two RBs they also have Miles Sanders & Jamaal Williams, talk about good RB depth. At WR they used Tee Higgins, Amon-Ra St. Brown and Christian Kirk and you can see why this team was the highest scoring team on the season. They started the season as the pre-season favorite but struggled in the first half at 2-5. After week #7, they never lost and cruised to a 10-game winning streak and a league championship. They now tied Phil Himan with 4 league championships. Looking ahead to 2023, they have plenty of options. Do they keep the two RBs of Cook and Eckler or do they keep Hurts, Eckler and a WR like Higgins or St. Brown, or perhaps swing a trade for a WR that will be cut? Why not trade for a Tyreek Hill? Lots of options for the defending champ to consider.
Grade: A
Mid-Season Record: 2-5
Mid-Season MVP:
Austin Eckler, he has 700+ combined yards and 8 combined TDs, the LA Chargers are struggling as a team but that clearly isn’t due to Eckler’s play. A keeper for next season.
Best Pickup:
Jamal Willams, when Swift went down, Williams stepped in and scored 6 TDs and rushed for 400 yards, surprised that he only has 34 receiving yards, considering he was always good at catching passes in GB.
Comments:
The Honor were the pre-season favorite but suffered the Commish’s curse and are among 6 teams hoping to earn one of the two playoff spots. At 2-5 they have to get on a roll and quickly. That means the Week #8 game against the commish, is kind of like a playoff game A win and they get some ‘Mo over the last 6 weeks, a loss and they have to go 5-1 to get to .500. Can the team pull off a string of wins? Lets see how that can be done. First off, QB Jalen Hurts needs to play just like he has been, rushing and throwing for TDs. While the TD passes sit only at 6, he does have 6 rushing TDs. Room for improvement but solid in Philly. At RB they have two stars in Cook and Eckler, Austin is having a typical season where he catches and runs equally well. Dalvin needs to catch more passes as he only has 80 yards and no TDs. If this team is going to be a playoff team, that needs to change. Other players that need to play really strong are Sanders, Mike Evans and George Kittle, those three only have 4 receiving TDs. Kittle should have more open space with CMC looming around for dump off passes. Can the Honor earn a playoff spot? Anything is possible, but having the stars like Hurts, Cook and Eckler week in and out, will surely help We shall see if a bad start to their season ruins this team’s hope for a 4th league title.
Grade: C-
Year End: 7-7 – 6th places
Keepers:
Dalvin Cook and Austin Eckler, who could blame the Honor for keeping two of the best backs in the NFL. If this team wins the championship and Cook is a big reason why, the Dead will always be linked to this team.
Top young players:
No rookies on this team but some really good players in JK Dobbins, Jalen Hurts and Amon Ra-St. Brown. With AJ Brown going to Philly, the Eagles and Hurts has a #1 target. No excuses if he struggles this season.
Overall:
The Honor enter the 2022 season as the #1 ranked team thus get to face the commish’s curse. We shall see if the curse is just a myth. How did this team get the #1 ranking because of some really good draft picks. QB will be Hurts or Russell Wilson, how does Wilson end up going in the 12th round? Not a bad backup QB to have in case Jalen has throwing issues. At RB they will use keepers Cook and Eckler and have Dobbins, Sanders and Edmonds to fill in during a bye week. At WR the team took Mike Evans, Tee Higgins and Allen Robinson. I am expecting all three WRs to have big years this season. Allen finally has a good QB throwing to him instead of Trubinksy among others. This team has so many weapons that easily makes them the #1 team out of the draft. Keeping the duo of Cook and Eckler already made them formidable team entering the draft but getting a bunch of solid WRs in the mid-rounds makes this team a candidate to earn championship #4.

Possible Keepers:
Lamar Jackson, he will be a free agent after Baltimore decided not to extend his contract. His season was cut-short after he threw and ran for 304 points. When healthy he is a top 5 QB. Other options are Ja’Marr Chase, he missed time this season but still scored 160 points. He and the Bengals are poised to make a run at another Super Bowl. Mark Andrews, he is the second-best TE behind Travis Kelce, he had 5 TDs and 800+ yards and a mismatch and headache for opposing defenses.
Overall:
The Nothing entered the season as the two-time defending champ. But injuries ruined a chance to make a three-peat. The following players missed time this season: Lamar Jackson, JaMarr Chase, Zeke Elloitt, James Conner and Dak Prescott. Kind of feels like this team was always starting backups because the starters were banged up so often. Looking ahead to next season the team has several options: keep Lamar Jackson at QB, Ja’Marr Chase and TE Mark Andrews? Not sure if either of the backs of Conner or Elliott are worthy of being kept. OR do they cut the entire team and use the 6th pick in the 2023 draft to rebuild the team? The other option is keep Lamar and Chase and see if they can swing a trade for a RB that is going to be cut? The Nothing now had 8+ months to come up with a game plan before we draft. Lots of time to come up with a winning strategy to get back to the championship game and try to earn Trophy #3.
Grade: B
Mid-Season Record: 5-2
Mid-Season MVP:
Mark Andrews, several players to pick from. But having a TE that has scored 5 TDs and caught for 455 yards is helping this team get to 5-2. Lamar and Chase are close picks as wells.
Best Pickup:
Raheem Mostert, he has taken over the lead back in Miami after the Dolphins used several backs in that role. If Miami is going to make the playoffs Raheem needs a strong second half.
Comments:
The defending champ is getting stronger as the season continues, seems like a repeat from the last few years. How are they doing it? Having star players like Mark Andrews scoring 5 TDs sure helps. Plus, Lamar Jackson is the QB throwing to him, so double cha-ching when that happens. At RB they used a trade acquired Zeke Elliott and newly picked up Raheem Mostert, if Zeke stays healthy the Cowboys will be moving the ball downfield often and that should allow Zeke to score goal-line carries. At WRs they use JaMarr Chase, Chris Olave and Jakobi Meyers. Chase has been on a tear recently and has 600 yards and 6 TDs. Getting one of the other WRs to score consistently will help spread the scoring around, especially when a tough matchup exists. The Nothing have shown the past two seasons they can win during the regular season and in the playoffs. They are still within striking distance of the North division title, they need to play strong in the second half and hope the Yoopers stumble. At 5-2 this team is a lock at a playoff spot, as they have proven during past seasons once they are in, they are really tough to beat.
Grade: A-
Year End: 10-4 – 1st place
Keepers:
Ja’Marr Chase and James Conner, the keeper of Chase made total sense, he is a #5 WR in the NFL. He plays on a Cincy offense that looks to be much better as they beefed up their O-line. James Conner moved to Arizona last season and his numbers got even better. With Edmonds off to Miami, he will be relied on even more.
Top young players:
Kenneth Walker III and Chris Olave, both players will be behind starters on their team, but the hope is come mid-season they will be forced into action, and they will produce. A repeat of Ja’marr Chase from 2021????
Overall:
The Nothing enter the 2022 season in uncharted territory only two teams have entered their season looking for a three-peat. Can they beat the odds and 9 other league owners and earn another championship? Lets see how they can repeat once again. At QB they will replace Kyler Murray with Lamar Jackson or Dak Prescott. Not bad having two QBs that should produce at a high level. Maybe start the QB that plays the easier defense? At RB they will use Conner. Damien Harris and Clyde. Damien had a really good season in New England last season, can he repeat his 15 TDs from 2021? At WR the team will use Chase, Cooks, and Jeudy. Brandin is on a Texans offense that might not win a lot of games, but Cooks will be thrown to a lot this year. Other weapons will be TE Mark Andrews and Green Bay defense. I am expecting Andrews to be a top 3 TE in the NFL. With the Ravens losing Brown, Andrews will need to catch a ton of passes to help balance their offense. The Nothing exit the draft as a bubble team, at least according to the pre-season predictions. But each season one or two teams will struggle, and one or two teams will exceed those predictions. The Nothing need to be one of those teams that exceed and earn a playoff spot and keep the three-peat alive.

Possible Keepers:
Josh Jacobs, he was selected to our Elite-9 team after he scored 274 points. The Raiders struggled at times this season but not due to Josh. He will be a highly sought-after free agent this off-season. Kenneth Walker, he wasn’t the starter on the Seahawks until week #4 but after he was names the starter he scored 179 points after rushing for 900+ yards and 9 TDs. Joe Mixon he scored 163 points but would have had a better season if he didn’t miss time with an injury. A possible trade target for a team looking to add a RB.
Overall:
The Attack were among the highest scoring teams on the season, they also won three weekly highest scoring team awards. Yet this team finished 9th at 4-10. Why? They set the SEBF record for the most points allowed over the course of a 13 and 14 game season. Historical number of points were scored against them. Where do they go from here? First, head to a voodoo shop or some place to rid the team of the fantasy gods that are against them. Second, keep some really good players such as Josh Jacobs, Kenneth Walker or Joe Mixon. But with the 2nd pick they could look at trading away some of these backs, and just use the 2nd pick to select from Tyreek Hill or Jonathan Taylor, as both of those players have to be cut. Lots of options for this team as they look to get back to the playoffs and make a run at Championship #6.
Grade: D+
Mid-Season Record: 2-5
Mid-Season MVP:
Josh Jacobs, he has been on a tear over the last three games. He has 6 TDs and 600+ yards rushing on the year. He wants a new contract and no better motivator for big money is to put up big fantasy numbers.
Best Pickup:
Kenneth Walker, this pick was even close. Since taking over for the injured Rashard Penny has scored 4 TDs and rushed for 400+ yards. I would like to see him involved more in the passing game, but this guy looks like a keeper for next season.
Comments:
The Attack enter the second half on a razor thin margin of error. They need to go 5-2 to just end the season at 7-7, so they have very little room for error. Otherwise, they will have to play the role of spoiler and look to ruin another team’s playoff shot or division title. Spread the misery, lol. How can this team earn multiple wins in a row? Use the RBs of Walker, Jacobs and Mixon, combined those backs have 12 TDs and 1,400 yards. Those are amazing numbers and hopefully Walker can continue his solid rookie season. At QB they simply need more TDs from Kyler Murray as he only has 7 TDs. Hopefully with Hopkins back, TDs will return too? Other players that will be counted on are WRs Pittman, Allen and Thomas. Keenan has been hurt for most the season, does he finally play again after his bye week? Will Pittman see more TDs now that Matt Ryan was benched for the season? The team has some talented weapons, but for whatever reason they can’t stay healthy and lose close games, like the one-point loss to the Dead. We shall see how good this team can play when the pressure is on to start winning some games. Hopefully week #7 is a good omen when they scored 139 points. Or was that just a mirage? We shall see in about 2 months.
Grade: C-
Year End: 7-6-1 – 5th place
Keepers:
Joe Mixon and Najee Harris, they had three really good RB but could only keep two. We shall see if Swift should have been kept instead.
Top young players:
No rookies were drafted but two good three- or two-year players in Michael Pittman and Elijah Mitchell. With Matt Ryan throwing the rock in Indy, I am expecting Pittman to see a ton of balls thrown his way. Mitchell averaged 100 yards a game in his rookie season, but he wasn’t drafted higher because the 49ers haven’t had the same back lead the team in rushing in back-to-back season under Shannahan.
Overall:
The Attack drafted 5th in each round but did have two solid keepers in Harris and Mixon. We shall see if Swift should have been a keeper instead. At QB the team moved on from Ryan Tannehill to Kyler Murray. How does Murray perform without Hopkins for 6 games, at least he saw Brown join the Cardinals. At RB they added Jacobs, Mitchell and Penny to help deal with bye weeks or an injury. They then used the mid rounds to secure WRs Kenaan Allen, Michael Pittman, DeAndre Hopkins, Devanta Parker and Michael Thomas. Can Thomas become something close to the dominant WR that he once was back in 2018. Stashing Hopkins until he returns could give this team an immediate boost entering the second half. The Attack are picked to finish in third place and second the South division behind the Dead. As with each team: injuries, some good pickups, and lots of good luck and the Attack could be in the hunt for championship #6. Is this year he starts wearing a championship ring on his left hand???
