End of the Line
Results: Cougars 136 VS Attack 124 Sack Attack can't extend their winning streak past Jonathan Taylor and Lady Cougars After knocking Sack Attack out of the playoffs last year, you might expect Lady Cougars to give 'em a break this week. Well, they didn't. Lady Cougars earned a nice victory over Sack Attack, winning 136 to 124. With the win, Lady Cougars put an end to Sack Attack's four-game win streak. The win brings Lady Cougars to 4 – 1, and sends them to the top of our internal power rankings. The loss was only the first for Sack Attack, whose record now sits at 4 – 1. Coach Laurie Leboeuf didn't rely on her All-Stars to pull this one out, instead getting contributions from unexpected quarters. Jake Ferguson scored 19 points, Baker Mayfield got 35, and DeVonta Smith dropped 11. Mayfield's 35 point performance this week moves him up to being the 3rd best quarterback in the league this season. He is the first QB with 375+ passing yards and fewer than 5 incompletions in a regular season game. Meanwhile, it will be difficult for Coach Steve Pintar to fault any one player for the loss. Sack Attack had five underperformers, with Mark Andrews (2 points) being the worst. Andrews' 2 point performance was the worst of any tight end this week. Next week, Lady Cougars will take on the 1 – 3 – 1 Juggernauts. Meanwhile, Sack Attack will take on Not Dead Yet. Predictions: Cougars by 1 Bye week players: steelers defense for Attack, Cougars none for Cougars. QBs: Goff or Jackson VS Mayfield, We shall see if Jackson can play this week if not Jared in playing at Cincy. Baker is playing at Seattle. RBs: Gibbs & Mason VS Taylor & Kamara, JT scored under 10 points last week does he bounce back? Gibbs is playing at Cincy, can he play at a high level on the road? WRs: Puka & Harrison VS Samuel & Smith, with Ricky hurt, the Attack turn back to Harrison and hope he can score a TD like he did last week. Deebo was very active last week, this week he plays at the Raiders. |
